Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
