Blast Takes 3 Law Enforcement Officers During Eviction Operation in Italy
Three members of law enforcement perished and no fewer than 15 people sustained injuries in a seemingly intentional detonation from gas at a rural property in Italy's north.
How It Happened
The blast was triggered as law enforcement and fire personnel approached the property near Verona to enforce an eviction order for two brothers and a sister who were older adults.
Each of the three deceased individuals served in the Carabinieri military police.
Legal Proceedings
Two individuals were taken into custody at the location and a third person who ran away subsequent to the explosion was found soon after. The trio have been taken to the hospital.
The explosion could be audible approximately 5 kilometers away and footage from the scene displayed the building turned into a pile of rubble.
“This is a time for grieving,” commented the Interior Minister the Interior Minister, who mentioned that previous tries had been made to remove the three siblings in the earlier times.

Those injured by the blast included 11 other members of the military police as well as three members of national police and a emergency responder.
