British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his team members.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
Joshua had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two close friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans offered its support for the champion in the wake of the heartbreaking incident.
