Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.

The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
